My name is Clare Connolly and I am trained in the multi model approach to therapy, which means I have trained in a number of therapies and can pick and choose what is required to help on an individual basis. It also means that during the progression of treatment it is possible to change as achievements are met and throughout the varying stages of recovery and growth outside and within the therapy room. Finding new life skills to enrich life in the future.

I am an experienced counsellor and have worked as a Support Officer for the County Council for The Healthcare Safeguarding Out of Hours Teams and more recently with a local Drugs and Alcohol Recovery charity locally

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis nearly 18 years ago and have personal experience of the physical and mental trauma that come with an ever changing chronic illness. I completed a foundation in Art and design in 1996 and then worked in the print industry until redundancy in 2012. I used my redundancy as an opportunity to change direction and fulfill a dream to become a MS Counsellor and qualified from there and now hold diplomas in Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling with advanced accreditation.

I am a registered member of the National Counselling Society.

My therapy room is purpose built area which offers a calm and safe space where a client can freely discuss thoughts and feelings without judgement and in complete comfort.

Although my primary focus is essentially MS I have found that therapy changes as it progresses and grows. As all MS Suffers are different in their symptoms and medication needs. That is also true within their therapy needs and because I have personal experience, I can help the client find their own therapy to fit where they need it.
